Conference Note|2025 Symposium on AI-Empowered Knowledge Management and Knowledge Services (First Round)

I. Conference Background

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, the fields of knowledge management and knowledge services are undergoing a profound transformation. AI-generated content (AIGC), with its powerful capabilities in automated content generation and personalized recommendations, has significantly enhanced the efficiency and quality of knowledge creation, organization, dissemination, communication, and application. This has brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges to knowledge management and knowledge services in various sectors, including research, education, and business.

To explore the latest developments and future trends in knowledge management and knowledge services, the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Sciences plans to host the "2025 Academic Symposium on AI-Enabled Knowledge Management and Knowledge Services" in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, from July 13–16, 2025 (two-day conference). The symposium will be organized by the editorial office of Library and Information Service and Knowledge Management Forum, in collaboration with the School of Information Management at Central China Normal University and the School of Information Management at Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics.

This conference aims to bring together experts and professionals from industry, government, and the field of information resource management, particularly strategic scientists, researchers, corporate managers, practitioners, and policy experts in knowledge innovation, knowledge management, knowledge services, intelligent services, and competitive information. The symposium will facilitate in-depth discussions on the innovative development of knowledge management and knowledge services in the era of AIGC, contributing collective wisdom and insights to the future development of the field.

 

II. Symposium Time and Venue

Time: 13-16 July, 2025 (conference registration on 13 July, dissolution on 16 July, with a two-day main program).

Venue: Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

V. Call for Papers

Submitted manuscripts must be original and innovative. Please refer to the submission guidelines on the Library and Information Service website (https://www.lis.ac.cn)  for formatting requirements. Authors must strictly adhere to academic integrity and ethical standards. The conference organizing committee will arrange for peer review of all submissions by experts. Outstanding papers will be selected for presentation at the symposium and may be recommended for publication in Library and Information Service or Knowledge Management Forum upon passing the review process.

VI. Registration and Fees

1. Symposium registration

2. The symposium fee is 1500 RMB Yuan per person for regular delegates and 1200 RMB Yuan per person for full-time students. The above fees cover conference registration, materials, and meals during the event. However, domestic travel expenses, round-trip transportation, accommodation, and meals on the arrival and departure days are to be borne by the participants themselves.
