Conference Notice | "Library and New Productive Forces: Scenario-Driven Data Governance and Artificial Intelligence": Fourth Academic Seminar on Smart Libraries and Smart Services

1. Conference Background

New productive forces are innovation-driven, characterized by new industries, new models, new technologies, new dynamics, new services, and new business forms, focusing on significantly enhancing total-factor productivity. In the context of society-wide development of new productive forces, how libraries can cultivate and develop their own new productive forces has become a pressing issue.Currently, big data and artificial intelligence are becoming key features in the new development phase of libraries. From a scenario-driven perspective, deeply exploring data governance and AI applications in libraries is crucial for promoting transformation, addressing key issues in smart library construction, and developing new productive forces. To address these challenges, "Library and New Productive Forces: Scenario-Driven Data Governance and Artificial Intelligence - Fourth Academic Seminar on Smart Libraries and Smart Services," will be held in Jinan, Shandong, from September 24-27, 2024, co-organized by Library and Information Service and Shandong Normal University Library. The conference will invite experts and scholars in library, information, archives, and related fields to discuss the development trends of smart libraries and services. They will delve into the concept, implementation paths, and practical cases of new productive forces in libraries to facilitate in-depth discussions and interactive exchanges on these topics. We warmly welcome and invite students, researchers, and practitioners in the information resource management field to participate in this event.
