Fees and Intellectual Property Policies

Library and Information Service (CN11-11541/G2, ISSN 0252-3116, a fortnightly journal published since 1956) implements a hybrid open access policy. Print subscriptions are available, with electronic versions of papers funded by national projects being immediately accessible after publication. Other papers' electronic versions are open within one year of publication. All past issues' electronic versions can be accessed for non-commercial use at https://www.lis.ac.cn/CN/archive_by_years.

 1.   The subscription price for the print version is as follows:
        2024: RMB ¥88 per issue, RMB ¥2,112 per year.
        2025 onwards: RMB ¥128 per issue, RMB ¥3,072 per year.
        Each author is entitled to one free print copy of the issue in which their paper is published. Individual copies can be purchased directly from the editorial office. For detail, please see: Library and Information Serive | Welcome to Subscribe (lis.ac.cn).

2.  The copyright of the print version belongs to the Library and Information Service Magazine Co., Ltd. The domestic distributor is the Beijing Press and Publication Bureau of China Post Group Corporation; the international distributor is China International Book Trading Corp. The domestic postal distribution code is: 2-412; the international postal distribution code is: M215. Any agency or platform that wishes to distribute or sell individual issues must obtain permission from Library and Information Service Magazine Co., Ltd.

3.  The copyright of the electronic version belongs to Library and Information Service Magazine Co., Ltd. after publication (a "Paper Copyright Transfer Agreement" must be signed before publication), with the authors retaining the rights to unpublished drafts. Any electronic database or platform wishing to distribute the paper must obtain authorization from Library and Information Service Magazine Co., Ltd. Authors can request a final PDF version of their paper free of charge from the editorial office, and may upload the final PDF version to institutional repositories without needing further permission.
