Abstract

[Purpose/significance] Breaking the inherent model of the cluster analysis, this paper discusses the influence of network location on the relationship between technologies, starting from the network structure.[Method/process] Based on the updated data of the ESI database in May 2017, this paper takes the top papers in the research field of Engineering, Electrical & Electronic as the object. On the basis of the macroscopic analysis,this paper analyzes the media roles of each technology based on the theory of Structural Holes and Brokerage roles in the keyword co-occurrence network to identity the internal relationship between each technology.[Result/conclusion] The research result shows that the technologies of optimization, smart grid, power control, nonlinear system, time delay, stability, synchronization are more important as the media role, and correlate with a variety of technologies. The theory of Structural Holes and Brokerage roles provides a new perspective for the discussion of the correlation between technologies because its analysis idea which analyzes from the point of structure and contacts the micro-individual relationship with the macro-structure of entire network.
