[Purpose/significance]In view of the problems existing in the patent information service of university libraries, it has very realistic significance to construct the patent information service system to improve the service quality.[Method/process]In terms of demands of subjects, the integration of platform resources, the patent information service process and feedback, the patent information service system should be constructed with overall coordination. According to this idea, the transverse service model including collaborative, embedding and open was formed. Then, the longitudinal service mode including organization, realization and evaluation was also set up. Finally, the project of the patent information services was applied with the service mode.[Result/conclusion]Based on two dimensions of the service mode, the patent information service quality can be promoted in practice, which can be extended to other university libraries.
