[Purpose/significance] As China's scholarly publishing literacy education is still in its infancy and lacks some practical experience, it is necessary to draw lessons from the experience of foreign university libraries in scholarly publishing literacy education.[Method/process] Firstly, this paper expounded the connotation of scholarly publishing literacy. Then, it used the methods of network survey to investigate the current situation of scholarly publishing literacy education in foreign university libraries of the United States, Britain, Canada and Australia, Finally, it summarized the mode, contents and objects of scholarly publishing literacy education in foreign university libraries. [Result/conclusion] Based on the experience of foreign countries and the current situation of scholarly publishing literacy education of China's university libraries, this paper reflected on the conceptual cognition of educational objects, educational contents, subjects, modes and cooperation, etc., which is of profound reference significance to develop scholarly publishing literacy education in China's university libraries.
