[Purpose/significance] In view of the current situation that personal data security issues occur frequently, it is meaningful to study the conceptual categories and basic types of personal data to promote the theoretical research and legislative protection of personal data.[Method/process] This paper used the literature research method and the network research method to sort out the definition of personal data in academic literature and policies or laws, and used the comparative analysis method to classify 14 basic types of personal data.[Result/conclusion] This paper defines personal data under the mobile Internet environment, and systematically combs the type of personal data from 14 perspectives, such as the degree of completion, the technical age, the basic attributes and so on.
