Research on Public Libraries' Services Within the Social Inclusion Field of Vision

[Purpose/significance] For concluding revelatory suggestion to Chinese librarianship, this paper discusses the theoretical research and social practice of public libraries' social inclusion at home and abroad. [Method/process] It provides the comparative analysis of social inclusion on the items of operation indexes, legal guarantee, service measures and service environments of public libraries, and puts forward four countermeasures to promote social inclusion. [Result/conclusion] Public libraries should make further efforts to improve inclusive services from the aspects of establishing the service concept of general inclusion, building up pluralism and convenient resource system, including and caring all kinds of reading groups, and creating more humanized service environment.
