Investigation and Enlightenment of Copyright Services in American University Libraries

[Purpose/significance] In view of the current copyright issues of MOOC and the weak copyright consciousness in China, this paper aims to determine the necessity and feasibility of Chinese university library to carry out copyright services by investigating the copyright services of American university libraries.[Method/process] This paper thinks seriously about the copyright services of university libraries caused by the MOOC copyright issues. By investigating 10 American university libraries which carry out better copyright services, it knows about their purposes, and analyzes and summarizes the contents of these services. [Result/conclusion] Copyright service has been very commonly implemented in American universities, Chinese university libraries can learn from their successful experience to carry out copyright services to improve teachers' and students' copyright consciousness.
