[Purpose/significance] This article tries to analyze the literature and information resource sharing in Inner Mongolia region library. Importantly, the general characteristics and principle factors of the resource sharing in Chinese Ethnic Regions Library are revealed, to provide the theoretical basis and research framework for developing Chinese Regional Academic Library Consortium. [Method/process] Six existing library consortia in Inner Mongolia region are made a comparative study by using the methods of online investigation and semi-structured interview. The characteristics and disadvantages of resources sharing activities in Inner Mongolia region library are summarized. [Result/conclusion] The results indicate that the non-resources factors such as organizational guarantee, resource structure, external pressure, investment and cultural construction have significant influences on the resource sharing, and the Regional Academic Library Consortium should be given a preferential development in Inner Mongolia region under the current conditions.
