Investigation and Study of Book Crossing Activities Led by Libraries

[Purpose/significance] According to the analysis of current situation of book crossing activities led by libraries, this paper provides some useful suggestions for the book crossing activity led by the library. [Method/process] It adopts the methods of network investigation and literature study, and obtains the related information of book crossing activity of 38 university libraries and 32 public libraries of the county level or above. [Result/conclusion] There are some problems in the book crossing activities led by libraries, such as book crossing activity is in random, it is lack of norm, lack of book crossing popularization, and lack of cooperation with other agencies. Then it puts forward the following countermeasures, including planning book crossing activity carefully, developing the related norms of book crossing activity, conducting necessary book crossing propaganda work, and paying attention to cooperate with other agencies to carry out the books crossing activities.
