Abstract

As two different systems of information organization, thesaurus and folksonomy play important roles respectively in the organization of network resources. The paper analyses the application of subjects in the tagging systems aiming to the educational subjects and bookmarks in the Delicious and finds 57% of subjects have been tagged. It identifies the characteristics of user tagging by counting the frequency, length of characters, language characteristics and provides the standards of filtering the bookmarks as reference of subjects.
