Research on Information Encountering Based on Meta-ethnography

12 primitive empirical studies about information encountering are synthesized through meta-ethnography method. The issues of elements, process, effect and context of information encountering are analyzed. A panorama model of information encountering is conducted, which considers information encountering is a kind of information behavior of positive consequence and emotional experience that actor positively interact with the information and context and is influenced by personal cognitive style, cognitive task, information organized style, physic and social context.
