The authors reviewed and analyzed the literature concerning the library service for minors in 8 groups as follows: history and present conditions of this service, research on the specific services for minors, research on cognitive rules of the individual readings and corresponding strategies, impact research of school libraries as a whole on students, research on the collaborations among individual school libraries and other institutions, research on evaluation of library service for minors, research on the service management and system development of the serive, and other sub-title which was made up of different research contents. The final conclusion was that, the scholars of the developed countries had established the mature and stable theoretical system in this field after their unremitting explorations of more than one century, and correspondingly, the virtuous circle in the field had also established, that is, "sufficient attention raised-using scientific research methods in the study-research convincingly-great resources and efforts devoted to support research and practice-remarkable results in reality".
