Abstract

This paper uses synthesis methods to examine foreign related research literatures that study exploratory search behaviors, and analyzes their research progress from three aspects of related theories, experimental environment and real scene. The results show that: theoretical research absorbs a large number of early research on exploratory search behaviors, but has not yet formed a clear theoretical framework; research based on experimental environment mainly focuses on domain knowledge of behavior subjects, different search tasks, search strategy, cognitive change and influence factors, but is lack of multi-level research from different perspectives; research based on real scene mainly focuses on the behavioral research of specific resources, areas, search mode and purpose, has not formed the model of exploratory search behavior.
