An Investigation on the Situation of Electronic Book Digital Libraries in China

Aiming to find out the situation of electronic book digital library construction and digital publishing industry, this paper designed a questionnaire oriented to the whole libraries' situation of purchasing and using electronic book digital library. Using questionnaire, statistical analysis, and informetrics, this paper concluded that nowadays in China electronic book market is led by Chaoxing, Founder, Home of Shusheng, and Digital Library of China, which is a competitive market. The ways which can affect on the development of digital library include government support, new technology, the rising of users' realization and procurement funding, and laws.
