A Comparative Study on Website News Section of Chinese and American University Libraries

This paper analyzes Chinese and American top ten university library website news sections with the methods of content analysis and comparative analysis in the four aspects of content, design, use, and interaction. It points out both the capabilities of the achievements in navigation functions, information consulting and personal service and the inadequacies of the scope of the featured content, section design, and search functions, which providing references for the construction of the university library in China.
