Design Study on the Measurement Questionnaire of Librarians’ Psychosocial Work Environment

Psychological work environment of librarians is one kind of cognitive feedbacks of multiple perceptions, which includes librarian’s personality, organization, job characteristics, interpersonal relationships, etc. With open-ended questionnaire, pre-testing and a formal investigation procedure, this paper confirms that librarians’ psychological working environment in Chinese culture is the concept of five-dimensional structure, which includes fairness, social links, values, social rewards and job control which all are measurable. The results show that the Cronbach’s Alpha of the questionnaire in the study is 0.95, the total variance of 66.73% can be explained, and it has good construct validity and criterion validity.
