A Comparative Study on the Information Literacy between Graduates and Undergraduates

Based on the information literacy competency standards proposed by ACRL, this paper compares the similarities and differences of information literacy required to graduates and undergraduates, and puts forward the specific requirements for graduates. It investigates the status of information literacy abilities between them, and gives the suggestions which include strengthening propaganda and training,offering suitable literature retrieval courses, making good use of tutors and subject librarians as well as exploiting library resources, to carry out research-oriented education so as to improve graduates’ information literacy.
