[Purpose/significance] This paper proposes a big data application pattern architecture of university libraries to improve the big data application service after analyzing the current dilemma and reviewing literatures of home and abroad.[Method/process] Based on the big data research status of university libraries, this paper discusses the big data application dilemma of libraries from four aspects including data collection and integration, analytical method, knowledge service and challenges of resource shortage, then puts forward the application pattern architecture of university libraries based on the method of large-scale network analysis.[Result/conclusion] Combined knowledge management theory and cloud computing platform of open source, the proposed application pattern architecture can respond the challenges of current big data services of university libraries and promote its further development.
