Since introduced to China in 2008, Human Libraries have experienced three development stages, including "Introduction & Alienation——Generalization & Reflection——Diffusion & Return". Its current status shows the characteristics of organizers pluralism, forms diversification, activities mechanism, and gradually returns to "promote dialogue, reduce prejudices and encourage understanding"; while, Human Library has to face practical problems, including the utilitarian reading, human books acquisition, service transformation and resource constraints. For the sustainable development, Human Library should get supports from variety of social powers, and then form the service pattern embedded in the community.
