加州大学图书馆多平台云迁移策略研究

摘要

高校图书馆应用云计算存在4个核心问题,阻碍了图书馆云迁移的理论研究和实践进展。加州大学图书馆的数字图书馆运维体系曾遇到经费短缺、技术压力和安全隐患三方面问题,向校园私有云和专业开放云迁移的组合策略成为解决问题的首要对策。通过渐进式的分批次过程,图书馆集成系统、馆际互借系统、内容管理系统和校外访问代理系统先后迁移到软件商托管云、OCLC公共云和校园私有云平台,最终实现图书馆基于IaaS层的全面云端化。其经验对我国图书馆的云实践具有重要借鉴意义。

Abstract

The cloud computing applications in university libraries are faced with four core issues, which hinder the theoretical study and practical progress of cloud migration. The operation and maintenance system of California Digital Library encounters the problems of budget cuts, technical pressure and safety risks. The migration to the campus private cloud and professional open cloud becomes the primary countermeasure to solve them. Through incremental batch process, all the ILS System, ILL System, WEB System and EZProxy System had been migrated respectively to hosted cloud of service providers, OCLC’s public cloud and campus private cloud. The experience has an important reference for cloud practice of Chinese libraries.
